Tarsier
The Tarsier is an unusual animal which belongs to the family of Tarsiidae and the Tarsuis genus. Tarsiers are found in South Asia. They are small primates with large eyes. Tarsiers are carnivores and are known to prey on birds, lizard and insects by jumping on them.
Platypus
Platypus is an egg laying mammal that is found in Eastern Australia. The Platypus is semi-aquatic. The Platypus, whose binomial name is Ornithorhynchus anatinus, is carnivores and it hunts under water as it swims gracefully. They move rather awkwardly on land and spend most of their time in water.
Emperor Tamarin
The Emperor Tamarin is an unusual animal of less concern that is found in South America. It is largely grey and is well known for its blatant white moustache. The Tamarin is a very social and playful animal that is not disturbed by the presence of human beings. They love being stroked by people.
Red Panda
The Red Panda is mostly found in the temperate forests of the Himalayas and south-western China. It is the only surviving member of the genus Ailurus. It is bigger than a house cut but is much smaller than the well-known giant panda. Though they are carnivores, they often feed on bamboo shoots and leaves. Red Panda are classified as endangered due to rampant deforestation.
Angora rabbit
Angora rabbit is a domestic rabbit which originates from Ankara Turkey. The Angoras were domesticated as pets for their long and soft wool. It is recommended that its wool should be cut off at least once every 90 days.
Aye-aye
This is a nocturnal primate found in rainforest and on deciduous trees in Madagascar. They are known for spending most of their time in trees and rarely come down to the ground. The Aye-aye is classified as omnivorous.
African Shoebill
The Shoebill is an unusual animal found in tropical east Africa. It is tall and has a conspicuous bill which is shoe-like. African Shoebill is Piscivirous. This is to say that the bird feeds on fish. The bird is mostly found in less-oxygenated waters where fish are likely to surface to breathe. The bird is known for being able to stay still for longer.
Three-Wattled Bellbird
The Three-Wattled Bellbird is one of the four species of the Bellbird. It is a migratory bird that lives in Central and South America. The wattles are known for being secretive and having a very distinct vocal.
Blobfish
Blobfish is a deep sea fish found in Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand. It belongs to the Psychrolutes genus. The Blobfish was voted the “World’s Ugliest Animal” due to its ‘not-so-attractive’ looks.
Pudu
