HARRY POTTER FILM SERIES

NIGHTMARE ALLEY

Made in 1947, this movie achieved the status as one of the most remarkable magic movies ever made. The main actor played by Tyrone Power plays a conman with physic that uses deceit to get him from the rags to riches and back again to the rags.

The Lord of illusions

This movie was based on a novel under the same title by Clive Barker back in 1995. It featured an evil powered lead role called Nix with supernatural powers. After Nix dies one of his disciples called Swann utilizes his magical prowess to become a popular illusionist. The performances of the magical scenes are very well done. The moral of the film shows how magic can be a damaging reality and has been applauded as a befitting theme that portrays today’s bizarre magicians.

CAST A DEADLY SPELL

This is a 1991 movie that had Fred Ward starring as a detective that resided in La in the 1940’s; a place where magic was a common thing. He is hired by some rich man wishing to find a lost book called The Necronomicon. The movie has numerous magical elements as well as magicians on the set.

THE GREAT KANDINSKY

Released in 1995, this particular movie starred Richard Harris and Terry Windsor as the director. THE ILLUSIONIST

Three magicians each with a secret and a narration that is nonlinear make film quite engaging and worth it but full of intrigues.

In 2007 this particular movie was ranked as one if not the most splendid of magical movies ever produced. With Andrew O Conner as the director the movie takes you through a magical tour. The plot follows the lives of two stage magicians that compete together despite their varying personal differences. They tend to pay homage towards some important magicians and end up knocking some real oddness.
