All the President’s Men (1976)
Directed by Alan J. Pakula, All the President’s Men is a political thriller based on 1974 non-fiction book, “All the President’s Men” written by two journalists Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward who were investigating the Watergate break-in scandal. The book chronicles the investigative reports by the two journalists. Two years after the book was published, a film adaptation of the same was released being produced by Robert Redford.

Mel Gibson’s Braveheart is a historical drama war film which details the dreaded First War of Scottish independence against England’s King Edward. This is a Rwanda based historical drama which shows the true story of an hotelier, Paul Rusesabagina. The epic film documents the 1994 Rwanda genocide. Argo (2012)
Released on August 31, 2012, Argo is a dramatic historical thriller directed by American film director and producer Ben Affleck. The film is based on a selection of The Master of Disguise by Tony Mendez. Tony Mendez is an American CIA agent who launched an extremely imperious operation to rescue six American diplomats who were held hostages in Tehran in 1980 under the guise of a Hollywood producer.
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
This movie is based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, an American motivational speaker and former stockbroker. In his memoirs, Jordan recounted his rise to a wealthy stockbroker to ending up in prison. The film involves crime, drugs and corruption and is based on Jordan’s memoirs.
